How to handstand on a paddle board

1. FIND CALM & FLAT WATER

so it’s easy to practice

2. PLACE THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD

in the centre of your board, at the handle (but not on it)

4. MAKE A TRIPOD BASE

with your head and your hands on the board; elbows bent at 90° angle

5. TUCK YOUR TOES UNDER

and begin to drag your feet towards your head stacking your hips over your shoulders

7. SLOWLY LIFT YOUR LEGS UP

either from a pike position or straddle them outwards and up

8. BE IN THE MIDDLE LINE

(aka stack all of your weight in one straight line)

squeeze your legs and feet together to maintain stability and keep your balance

9. USE YOUR ARMS

to stabilize yourself And to take the weight off your neck. Once stable feel free to play around with your legs but remember to keep your center of gravity in a nice line.
